Manager of a youth organisation

Are you part of the management of a youth organisation? Do you represent an association, foundation, municipality, school or another organisation active in the field of youth? Are you working on youth policy? Do you want to support the acquisition of social skills and competencies by young people? Are you aiming at creating international cooperation between organisations around the world to build capacity in the youth sector?
Then the activities in the Youth sector are for you!
The projects and activities in the Youth field are divided into several main strands. Your organisation can organise youth exchanges, send youth workers to trainings or promote volunteering initiatives in other European countries. You can create a partnership of organisations active in the field of youth to work on joint innovative projects or to exchange good practices. Your organisation can organise meetings between young people and politicians at the local level and to discuss the challenges of youth policy. You can also join a large-scale capacity building project with youth organisations from around the world.
A distinctive feature of the Youth field is the focus on young people with fewer opportunities, with the aim of actively involving them in projects. Social inclusion, along with the promotion of European citizenship, is a priority of the activities supported by the Erasmus+ Programme.
A new European Union initiative that enables young people to volunteer and work on projects in their own country or abroad, bringing benefits to communities and people in Europe, is the European Solidarity Corps.
The young people participating in the European Solidarity Corps should accept and adhere to its mission and principles.
IMPORTANT! In all cases, applications under the Erasmus+ Programme are submitted on behalf of an organisation (association, foundation, municipality, school, etc.) rather than as an individual. Some applications may also be filed on behalf of the so-called informal group of young people – a group of at least four participants who are active in youth work but are not part of a youth organisation.
