Learning mobility

Mobility for higher education students, teaching and administrative staff

Student mobility for studies in the field of higher education targets students and doctoral candidates and enables the participants to undertake mobility in their study field at another higher education institution abroad.

Student mobility for traineeships in the field of higher education targets students and doctoral candidates and recent graduates and enables the participants to carry out a traineeship in another higher education institution or enterprise abroad.

Staff mobility for teaching targets the teaching staff of higher education institutions and enables the participants to teach at higher education institutions abroad. It also enables representatives of enterprises abroad to teach at the invitation of higher education institutions in the host country.

Staff mobility for trainingin the field of higher education targets teaching and non-teaching staff and enables the participants to benefit from professional development in another organisation abroad.

Before mobility takes place

Before a student mobility or (teaching and administrative) staff mobility takes place, the sending and receiving organisation and the participating individuals sign a Learning Agreement/Mobility Agreement.

Potential beneficiaries in the field of higher education under the Mobility Action:

  • Higher education institutions holding an Erasmus Charter for Higher Education and registered in a Programme country.
  • National mobility consortia involving at least three legitimate organisations (including two sending higher education institutions) registered in a Programme country.
