Youth
Youth exchanges allow groups of young people from different countries to meet and co-exist for up to 21 days. During the youth exchange, the participants implement a prior-prepared work programme including workshops, practical exercises, debates, role-plays, simulations, outdoor activities, etc. Youth exchanges are based on transnational cooperation between two or more participating countries from different countries inside or outside the EU.
The European Voluntary Service (EVS) enables young people aged between 17 and 30 to express their personal commitment to society through the realisation of an unpaid and full-time volunteer service for up to 12 months in another country inside or outside the EU. This activity allows volunteers to contribute to the day-to-day work of organizations working in the field of: youth policies; the personal and educational development of young people; civic engagement as well as other areas such as social care, social inclusion of disadvantaged people, the environment, non-formal education programs, ICT and media literacy, culture and creativity, etc. Any organisation willing to participate in EVS must be accredited.
The mobility of youth workers supports the professional development of youth workers in the form of: participation of youth workers in seminars, training courses, contact seminars, study visits, observation periods abroad in another organisation active in the youth sector.
