Capacity building in the field of youth
The Capacity Building in the Field of Youth projects encompass a number of activities promoting cooperation between organisations working in the youth field, education, training and other socio-economic sectors from different regions of the world.
These projects aim to recognise and improve the youth work, the non-formal learning and volunteering, and to link them to education and the labour market. They also support regional and international non-formal learning mobility schemes and to promote young people’s participation in society.
Examples of capacity building activities:
- Conferences, seminars and workshops;
- Large youth events;
- Information and awareness campaigns;
- Communication and media tools;
- Development of methods, curricula, training and documentation;
- Open and flexible teaching materials, virtual collaboration, open education resources (OER).
The Capacity Building in the Field of Youth projects are centrally managed and implemented by the European Commission’s Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).
